The sun is setting on another day, the kids are asleep in the back, you’ve got some good tunes playing and thankfully you’re making great time. By your estimate, if you push through you’ll make it to your destination tonight. I know this may sound like heresy but I must admit that I’ve never really been a fan of the book “Eat, Pray, Love” or the book’s author, Elizabeth Gilbert. Having said that I must admit I found this talk surprisingly moving. As well, I found Elizabeth Gilbert to be funny and endearing. In this video the author muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses – and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person “being” a genius, all of us “have” a genius.
“Dance Yrself Clean” by MS MR Originally by LCD Soundsystem New York synth pop duo, MS MR, does a sort of languid and dreamy lounge version of LCD Soundsystem’s “Dance Yrself Clean”. The effect is certainly charming as all hell. Especially the back-end when the track picks up and shifts into a shimmering new wave jam. Nice.
