This is a copy of 5 sentence personal essay that helped JFK get into Harvard.  As part of the Harvard application which was only three pages long at the time, each student was asked to give a careful answer to the question “Why do you wish to come to Harvard?” This is what JFK had to say: The reasons that I have for wishing to go to Harvard are several. I feel that Harvard can give me a better background and a better liberal education than any other university. I

“I Love Surprises. ..And Other Lies We Tell.”   Has this ever happened to you? You’re on a road trip with your family. It’s been a long drive. The sun is setting on another day, the kids are asleep in the back, you’ve got some good tunes playing and thankfully you’re making great time. As well, I found Elizabeth Gilbert to be funny and endearing.  In this video the author muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses – and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person “being” a genius, all of us “have” a genius.

“Dance Yrself Clean” by MS MR  Originally by LCD Soundsystem New York synth pop duo, MS MR, does a sort of languid and dreamy lounge version of LCD Soundsystem’s “Dance Yrself Clean”. The effect is certainly charming as all hell. Especially the back-end when the track picks up and shifts into a shimmering new wave jam.  Nice.
